The sequel was almost inevitable but when Universal picked it up and heaped a hundred million budget on it they must have expected the same results that Pitch Black achieved. However The Chronicles of Riddick was a very different movie, much more epic in scale and it only just made back its budget, getting a very luke warm reception from critics

A new movie from Robert Rodriguez that is aimed at adults is always a good thing. I’m not going to lie I haven’t seen any of his kids movies but I’m sure they still have the snap and pop that his other movies do
