With Hollywood going into overdrive on their reboots the next franchise to get the treatment for a new generation is the horror classic A Nightmare On Elm Street. Wes Craven first brought us the classic movie back in 1984, personally it was never a franchise that i was into but it was massive as the time an spawned a serious amount of sequels. The Remake is due to be released in 2010 and is being directed by Samuel Bayer, who has been directed music videos since 1991 and A Nightmare On Elm Street is his first feature film

Edge of Darkness is an upcoming thriller directed by Martin Campbell who we last saw directing Casino Royale and starring Mel Gibson. Edge of Darkness is actually a remake of 1985 BBC TV show that Martin Campbell actually directed as well, so Campbell knows the material and obviously this project is somewhat personal to the directer and from the trailer it looks like a full on action thriller with a lot of tension

Neil Marshall already has his next project lined up, and it's called Burst 3D for Ghost House Pictures. Marshall is still currently working on Centurion his latest film that is due out in date date* and stars Olga Kurylenko and Micheal Fassbender starring in a movie which depicts a group of Roman soldiers who are stranded and fighting for their lives after their Legion is split up and ambushed

Cabin in the Woods, Joss Whedon's latest venture onto the big screen has unfortunately been pushed back all the way to 2011. Bad news for Whedon fans, who no doubt were looking forward to seeing Cabin In The Woods early 2010 which was it's original release date

Not sure how i missed this one before, but Lost Boys 3 is all set to start filming this month in South Africa, were we will see the return of Edgar Frog played by Corey Feldman along with the other Frog brother played by Jamison Newlander

Great news for fans of the very cool and entertaining Halloween themed anthology movie Trick 'r Treat. It seems that Micheal Dougherty, writer and directer of Trick R Treat is already making plans for a second movie, with the story ideas already partly laid out in case they go ahead with a sequel

The Expendables the upcoming movie starring, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone is still a long way off being released but how can you not be excited about this action movie, that has a who's who of action stars from past and present on board. Well a trailer has sneaked online and you can watch it here at Movies Illustrated just below. But before you head off to take a sneak peak, i should warn you it is a bootleg and it's filmed on a cam from what looks like a testing footage screening, but for now it's the best thing out there
