This week, we have another varied selection of new movie posters for your perusal. From the new Mike Myers movie, the new Stephen Chow movie and the re-teaming of Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, last seen together in the film, 10 Things i Hate About You.

First up is the new Mike Myers movie, The Love Guru. After creating some of the best character based comedy movies of the last decade or so, the weight on Mike Myers must be feeling pretty heavy. After bringing us Wayne’s World and the massively successful Austin Powers series, his next movie is about Pitka a man raised by guru’s, who now returns to his homeland America with the aim of proving his love guru skills to all. With a Mike Myers movie you don’t have to worry to much about the cast, the writing will save most things. The Love Guru however also stars Ben Kingsley, Jessica Alba, Meagan Good and Romany Malco, with music to movie switch over stars Justin Timberlake and Jessica Simpson. This one is gearing up for a summer 2008 release, and I’m seriously looking forward to it, how can you not fail to be excited about a new Mike Myers movie.

Next up is Stephen Chow who shares a lot of similarities with Mike Myers, with his new movie CJ7. Chow is a massive star in his homeland China, and came to light over here thanks to movies like Shaolin Soccer and the great Kung Fu Hustle. Writer, director and actor, Chow has a unique mix of comedy, martial arts skills and a eye for design and special effects which has come across in many of his previous movies. CJ7 is a science fiction based comedy movie where Chow’s character doesn’t have enough money to buy his child a toy, after rooting around in the rubbish tip, chow finds a strange toy that him and his son discover isn’t quite what it seems. Well the story sounds strange but that’s nothing new if you’ve seen any of Chow’s previous movies, and if you haven’t, then check them out if comedy, martial arts and underdog stories are your thing. CJ7 is already out in Hong Kong and it will be interesting to see what it looks like, with a relatively small budget of around $20 million.

Finally we get to see Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson back together on the big screen in the movie Fool’s Gold. With a story that follows a married couple looking to jump start their romantic life via the medium of treasure hunting. Yes i know not the typical solution right. Well while the film has been universally panned by the critics there was definitely something interesting about their last on screen meeting, so maybe one for dvd rather than the cinema.
