Source Code Movie Trailer – Duncan Jones returns after Moon

Source Code is the second movie directed by Duncan Jones who gave us the very awesome and low budget sci fi flick Moon starring Sam Rockwell. Source Code is staying on a similar track with a science fiction storyline that follows the story of a soldier Coulter Stevens played by Jake Gyllenhaal. He becomes part of a government experiment that sees them investigating the bombing of a train to prevent future attacks but they are not doing it in a conventional fashion.

Stevens is transported into the body of a civilian on the ill fated train where the bombing took place in the last eight minutes of the civilians life. While the first trip back doesn’t go as planned Stevens gets more than one attempt to uncover what happened as he relives the last eight minutes over an over again.

While a time loop isn’t a new idea it’s always an interesting one to see on the big screen and Duncan Jones seems to be creating another movie that will definitely appeal to fans of his first movie Moon, while also bringing in a more mainstream audience with the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan in the lead roles. Filmed and produced for a very lowly $35 million its going to be interesting to see how Source Code comes out but I’m definitely looking forward to this one.
