AVP 2 – Aliens Vs Predator : Requiem
Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem is the sequel to the 2004 movie Aliens Vs Predator. If you were unfortunate to see that movie then you might not really be too bothered about this movie, I wouldn’t blame you either. The previous movie was a seriously underwhelming use of the franchise that only cashed in on the cult following of the Predator and Alien fan bases. Coming from the previous Alien movies and the previous Predator movies which were all good films in their own right, this was a lackluster affair with no plot and no interesting characters.
There is however going to be a lot of demand to see this franchise succeed though, and even possibly redeem itself, maybe they should have called it Aliens Vs Predator: Redemption. This time around Anderson is gone as the director, in comes the Strause Brothers. The movie is going to be an 18 rated movie here in the UK and in the States it will be getting an R rating, this is supposedly for all the blood and violence involved, of course we don’t want to see any alien or predator sexual behavior, which leads me quite nicely onto the next section.
Predalien I hear you say what on earth this can be, well a cross between the predator and the alien, how it comes about I don’t know if you are a fan of the comics or AVP literature then you probably already know. Well its apparently in the new movie so If you do know what it is please leave me a comment and let me know what happened.
So with very little of the plot details actually released, you have the option of checking out the recently released movie trailer to see if Aliens Vs Predator: Requiem is for you. The movie is due to be released in late Dec to Early Jan worldwide.
