Crank 2 – its getting Cranked up
The good news is that Crank is getting a sequel and the bad news is that Crank is getting a sequel(does it really need one). Yep the frenetic and action packed rollercoaster ride of a movie that was Crank is getting a follow up. Crank 2 leads straight on from the end of the first movie, that helped confirm Jason Stratham’s status as a Hollywood action star.
Empire has been reporting on the details of the upcoming sequel and from the information they have got we know that Crank 2 is going to follow straight on from Chev Chelios previous adventure, and they intend to up the game. Expect the adrenaline fuelled antics to be even bigger than before.
Personally I’m looking forward to it, Crank was a refreshing action movie with some seriously funny situations, and I don’t know how everyone else feels about it, especially considering that at the end of the first movie we pretty much saw Stratham’s character falling to his doom. That of course means we didn’t see him die which I guess would be the deal breaker here.
Shooting on Crank 2 is due to begin early into 2008, so it’s going to be a while before we see the finished product. This should give them plenty of time to come up with a name for the movie, personally i’m going with Cranked. What do you think they will come up with?
