After the success of No Country for Old Men, the Coen Brothers are back with their latest movie. Burn After Reading is a more of a light hearted affair that has an impressive cast line up, onboard are, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, George Clooney, Frances McDormand and Brad Pitt. The story follows Chad Feldheimer and Linda Litzke played by Brad Pitt and Frances McDormand a trainer and a gym owner who stumble upon a disc containing some damaging memoirs of Ozzie Cox played by John Malcovich. Ozzia was a CIA veteran who got fired due to his addition to alcohol, the memoirs are his form of revenge but when they fall into unintended hands a complicated blackmail ensues.

With such complex and interwoven issues in the film such as the CIA, Internet Dating and keep fit fanatics in Washington D.C its safe to presume that this will not be as brooding as their last Oscar winning movie. However from the trailer it looks like their penchant for unique and often weird hairstyles for their characters is still intact.

Burn After Reading is due for a Sep 2008 release with the premiere due at the Venice film Festival around August. The trailer looks very different from the tone of their last movie No Country for Old Men but this is not new ground for the Coen’s, who have done some excellent twisting comedies before, most notably the well like The Big Lebowski.
