Riddick Franchise Back on Track

Diesel himself posted the news on his Facebook page stating that location scouting for the third movie in the series has begun which is good news for sci fi fans

Sequel to Riddick on its way but don’t expect it soon

chronicles_of_riddick_sequel_1_thumbnail.jpg Pitch Black was an out of the blue low key and low budget sci fi success, grossing almost double its cost. The sequel was almost inevitable but when Universal picked it up and heaped a hundred million budget on it they must have expected the same results that Pitch Black achieved. However The Chronicles of Riddick was a very different movie, much more epic in scale and it only just made back its budget, getting a very luke warm reception from critics

It launched the anti hero character of Riddick which director David Twohy brought back in the Chronicles of Riddick the second of a planned trilogy. Riddick however didn’t make a lot of cash at the box office but has since done more than well in the DVD format

Pitch Black – Rewind

pitch_black_thumbnail_1.jpg Pitch Black turned up out of the blue, with one of the best trailers I've seen to date. It was minimal, visually stark and left you wanting more and intrigued to know what happened to the alcohol fuelled flame blowing man as he was surrounded in the darkness.
