Pirates of the Caribbean – Jack could be back

Pirates sequels on the way? Well, Movieweb had a little snippet from Gore Verbinski, who was talking about whether the Pirates of the Caribbean world will continue. Taken from Movieweb ‘ Gore Verbinski on the pirates sequels: I think the trilogy is now complete. All of the stories set in motion by the first film have been resolved. If there ever were another Pirates of the Caribbean film, I would start fresh and focus on the further adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow.’

So there it is, nothing definite and nothing certain, and I expect everyone involved in those movies may feel as though they had dedicated a lot of their time to them. However the films had a lot of good characters and you could probably make a few spin off movies from that alone. The thing about the studios is that when they are onto a winner do they want to pass up an opportunity to make a few bucks from a massive cash cow like the Pirates trilogy.

Personally I would love to see some further adventures of Jack Sparrow and there are loads of places they could take it. The trilogy was definitely resolved though and it would also depend on Depp returning to the role. What do you think, would a Pirate’s themed spin off sink or swim?

  1. eastenders spoilers Says:

Keira Knightley and I have very similar bone structure. For the record, that jawline works if you’ve got an actual nose to balance it. Oh, and teeth that aren’t funny looking. The rest of our bone structure is pretty similar too. Sadly, both of us are slender enough for me to tell.
