With the big awards shows now behind us, it’s time to take a look at some of the movie posters from the biggest winners from this years Oscars. This week we have hard hitting war flicks, emotional dramas and lots of country music.

First up is the best picture winner, The Hurt Locker, which grabbed more than a few awards at the Oscars including best picture and best director for Katheryn Bigalow. The poster itself is pretty cool it has a nice angle to the shot and tells you what you the movie is about, because the name won’t give you any clue. Alongside being a great movie, and i don’t really like war movies the Hurt Locker has a very awesome poster.

Next up is the hard hitting drama Precious that picked up a couple of awards at the Oscars including best writing and best actress in a supporting role which went to Mo’Nique. The poster itself is graphic and stylized and i really like it, I’m a sucker for minimalist poster design and this one has it in spades.

Finally we have the poster for Crazy Heart, which picked up a couple of awards also, including best actor for Jeff Bridges who definitely seemed at ease up on stage giving his acceptance speech for a well deserving win for this rather sweet and engrossing movie. The poster itself is pretty unique in the fact we have a large portrait of the main character and it suits the movie, because the story is entirely based around Jeff Bridges character.

If you haven’t checked out the winners from the 2010 Oscars yet, then you can hop on over to oscar.com right here and take a look.
