Centurion preview – Neil Marshall’s latest historical action thriller
Centurion is Neil Marshall’s latest movie which tracks the story of the Ninth legion whose actual historical outcome is unknown and in Centurion, Marshall offers a fictional ending to the story of the Legion. The story follows the battle between the Roman’s and the Picts.
Centurion stars Michael Fassbender as Quintus Dias a Roman soldier stranded after a Pict raid , and Olga Kurylenko who you should know from Quantum of Solace or Hitman, playing a mute Pict who’s family was mercilessly butchered by the Romans she now wasn’t to avenge her family and her treatment at the hands of the Romans.
With Neil Marshall films you can always expect action and tension, and Centurion looks to be no different with Marshall himself describing the film as an action thriller rather than a true historical epic.
Rotten Tomatoes has this very interesting behind the scenes look at Centurion which is well worth the short time investment.
